About

Smooth Stone Productions was founded and is run by two wildly talented, wildly good-looking brothers from Dallas, TX.  How did this great company begin?  Well, I’ll tell you:

At an early age, the two brothers and the rest of their large family were making movies and parody commercials whether there was a camera rolling or not.  The productions that were recorded are strewn about the 6 siblings on various DVD’s and mislabeled VHS tapes.

As they grew up through high school and into adulthood, they began to get out in the world and see what it had to offer.  They had very different journeys, but eventually they came back to their childhood interest of creating with a camera.  Daniel and Seth met up in a foggy, dark alleyway lit only by the flittering beam of a broken street lamp, gave each other a high five that transitioned into a firm and fiery handshake.  As biceps ripped they intensely stared into each other’s eyes and said in unison “Let’s do this!”

And that is how Smooth Stone Productions was born.  The owners, as I mentioned above, had very different journeys they took to get to Smooth Stone Productions.  Their individual stories are as follows:

Daniel Hayhurst – Head of Awesome Department and Legendary Gun Slinger

Daniel is the youngest of 5 boys, and was raised accordingly.  Pretty much whatever he wanted or needed, he was given because he was the “baby” of the family.  Through high school he was the student council president and all around “cool guy”.  Out of high school he entered into the “corporate” world where he succeeded greatly but found no reward in the monetary freedom it allowed him.  He sold all his possessions and through the great wisdom and pep talk of his older brother Seth, he loaded up his 2002 Hyundai Elantra and took off for Los Angeles.  He attended the Los Angeles Film School where he pretty much excelled beyond his wildest imagination!  Once he had done the “LA thing”, he went back to his highly intelligent brother Seth for more direction.  Seth wisely told him to spend some time in prayer and then load up and come back to Texas.  He did, and they met in an alley and the rest is history.

Seth Hayhurst -  Head of Awesomest  Department and Bayou Alligator Wrangler

Seth was the forgotten brother who was right in the middle of the siblings.  Because he was overshadowed by the older brothers or out “cuted” by the younger kids, he had to claw and scrape for everything he got.  Occasionally, growing up, he would get to the dinner table to find that his was the only plate without food on it.  “I am sorry, there just wasn’t enough for you”, his mother would say as the whole table would point and laugh.  Instead of acting out, Seth only became stronger.  At the age of 12, he left his family and joined a group of rogue street ninjas.  He learned everything he could from this group of trained assassins before heading out on his own again.  He traveled to Tibet where he spent the next 13 years in a monastery learning the Art of Awesome and writing some of the most explosive and life defying scripts ever written.  When he was ready, he emerged from his social hibernation with scripts in a Bengal Tiger skin man purse and headed back to Dallas where he met his younger brother in a dark alley, and you know the rest.

Smooth Stone Productions is available for hire, but only if you want a really awesome finished product. No job is to small or too large.
